These units quickly proved themselves in all forms of traffic, from branch-line mixed goods services and suburban services to general freight and livestock trains. Most of the class members are still in traffic today as the last 60 tonne locomotives operating regularly on the Queensland Network. As branch-line locomotives, they could run on all lines.
