Hobby Trax Helpsheet - Fixing Hornby DC loco's which only move very slightly

This is a helpsheet to fix a very specific problem only affecting Hornby loco's running on DC.

If you find your loco will only move forwards very slightly, initially quickly before rapidly slowing down and you have the PCB inside as show in the second photograph. This is likely to be faulty and we show you how to repair it.
