Choosing resistors for LED lighting
For many individual model railway LEDs powered by 10-15V DC, 2.2kΩ and 3.3kΩ are useful starting points. 2.2kΩ gives a slightly brighter light, while 3.3kΩ produces a softer glow. The correct value depends on your LED and supply voltage. Fit a resistor in series with each individual LED.
