We originally made this compact replacement PCP board for our own NCE PowerCab layout. When customers started asking whether they could buy one too, we decided to make it available!

The HobbyTrax NCE PowerCab Replacement Mini PCP Board replaces the original NCE PCP panel (part 524-222 / 5240222) with a compact, fully enclosed unit that mounts directly onto or underneath your layout. Unlike the original recessed fascia panel, it simply screws into a convenient position.

Compatibility

Suitable for the NCE PowerCab, including use with HobbyTrax extension and curly controller leads. Replaces NCE PCP part numbers 524-222 and 5240222 in single-controller PowerCab installations.

Important: Supports one controller only. Not suitable for NCE PowerPro systems or boosters.

Installation

Mount the enclosure on or under your layout using its mounting tabs. Disconnect your existing PCP board and reconnect the controller, track and power supply to the corresponding connections on the replacement. Always turn power off before changing connections.

HobbyTrax Expert Tip

Position the mini PCP where you can comfortably plug in your PowerCab without reaching behind the layout. Under-bench mounting can keep your fascia clear while still giving you access to the controller socket and track power light.

Do I need to cut a hole in my fascia?

Can I use two controllers?
No. This mini PCP is designed for one PowerCab controller connection.

Does it work with PowerPro or boosters?
No. It is intended for the NCE PowerCab, not PowerPro systems or boosters.

Can I use my existing HobbyTrax controller leads?
